The 1977 25 Pence coin from Guernsey is a Silver Proof edition commemorating the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, marking the 25th anniversary of her accession to the throne. On the obverse, it features a young laureate bust of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right, with the Latin inscription "QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND 1952-1977." The reverse side showcases an aerial view of Castle Cornet with the Latin inscriptions "BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY" and "TWENTY-FIVE PENCE." The engraver for the obverse is Arnold Machin, while Bernard Sindall is credited for the reverse design. This non-circulating coin is made of silver (.925), weighs 28.28 grams, and has a diameter of 38.61 mm, with a thickness of 3 mm. It follows a round shape with a milled edge and a medal alignment. Issued by Guernsey, the coin has a denomination of 25 Pence and is part of the commemorative series for the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession. The coin was minted at the Royal Mint in Llantrisant, United Kingdom.
